A little post on Spring!

Right now we are having great sunny days! I hope that this will stay for sure because I think everyone has spring fever here! Usually it is all snowy and cold. (Especially because I have to walk up the street on school days at 7:30 in the morning!) I Can't wait until summer so it can be nice everyday!!!!

My Orchestra Concert

I have had to make the decision of whether I should stay in orchestra this year or take an art class for seventh grade. This year, I haven't had as much fun in this class as I thought I would. There is a new orchestra teacher this year at my school and I hadn't had the fun that I thought I would. Now, I know that practicing won't always be fun and games, but I just wasn't sure if I should stay in or not. I finally decided that I would stick with it. I think that it will get better next year.

Anyways, we had our march spring concert the other day and I think that we did really good. I don't have a picture of the concert, so we took a picture of me holding up my violin. The concert was a good program and I think that everyone was happy.

Nicky's Home!!!!

Nick is home for the Holiday and we are so exited! I am happy that he could be here for Christmas and spend some time with us. All the kids in my family start jumping up and down when we see him coming down the street with my dad. Nick is what makes our family happy when he comes down to see us and our relatives at Christmas. We don't know what we would do without Nick!!! We're Glad your Home!

Swimming in Washington

The other day, me and my family went swimming at the Washington Recreation center with my moms friend and her family. The reason why we went is because we did 100 chores all together. So that was the kids reward. It was a BLAST! There was a kids place for Jace, And slides for the older kids. There was even a big bucket that would dunk water on you every few minutes! There was also a whirlpool that would spin you around in circles! It was awesome! After we swam for hours, we went and ate at Golden Corral in St. George. It was so good! we had such a good day! All we have to do is earn it again!

I really need to stay updated on my blog! I can't believe how much time goes by. It's been hard to write when my mom wants to use the laptop, and my dad needs it for school. I have to remind myself to write on my blog. I love having a Blog. So this is my chance to catch up on things...

Volcano Day

First I wanted to say sorry because I haven't written anything since August. My dad needs to use the laptop for class. Anyways, On Wednesday, I had to make a volcano and bring it to school. My dad bought black cherry soda, (which your supposed to use coke.) Then he glued it to a big piece of wood. After, we put foam around it piece after piece. after it dried, we spray painted it a brownish, red color. When I was at school, I left from my orchestra class early to put some black spots on it and went to lunch. ( I play the violin.) Then went to lunch with my parents. When I got back, I ended up exploding mine first. (Even though I didn't even know where I was supposed to set it down.) So my mom didn't get out of her class to see it in time. Then my dad opened the lid and dropped in mentos and tried to screw the lid shut. But he didn't do it in time! So some of the soda sprayed at him so he hurried out of the way. The soda went pretty high. It was such a fun day! (thanks for helping dad.)

My Birthday & Party

Last week on Wednesday, It was my Birthday! I had a great time. On my real Birthday, I went to Pizza Factory with the Holmes side. We ate Cake there.
On the Saturday after, I had a birthday party after. Once again, We went to Pizza Factory, and then we went to the canyon park. There, the ice-cream truck came. We all got some-thing. I got some good gifts. ( Thanks guys!) We all had a great time. I want to thank my mom for letting me have a party!

Alyssa's 5th Birthday

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't been writing posts in a while. I haven't really had time. We just got done celebrating my little sisters birthday. She turned 5. For her birthday she had 9 of her friends come to McDonald's. She was happy with what she got. The kind of cake she got was a Minnie Mouse cake. There was a Minnie Mouse locket on the cake you could open it up and there would be some lip gloss and a mirror.
She had fun...... For a little bit, I've been helping my mom with her new classroom. She's teaching 3rd grade. It's fun. I can't believe that school's already starting! And it's going to be my birthday two weeks from tomorrow!

50th & more!

My grandparents had a WONDERFUL 50th anniversary. I had a great time to. I slept over at my grandma's house for 2 night's. I had ALOT fun with my cousin's. My uncle Matt and my Aunt Jen's family came over for it. I was SO sad when they left. I wished It would of never ended. It's pretty cool because it's there golden wedding. ( if someone didn't know.) On your 25th anniversary, it's the silver wedding. For there anniversary, I gave my grandparent's 6 chocolate Carmel pretzels and a boukay of flowers. The reason why the title of this blog post is 50th & more is because this Friday, is My brother Spencer's birthday! One thing that's so weird is he's going to be 12! Yes, 12. He's way exited because he's going to be in young men. He got to celebrate his family party with all of our family. On his real birthday, he gets to chose 2 people to go somewhere. He chose to go bowling. He's letting me go to! So, Happy birthday Spence!

Hip Hip HOORAY!

ALL of us should be exited for summer! (Hopefully.) Some parent's like summer and others don't. But for kids, It's one of the best thing that could happen. Yesterday, I had a lemonade stand. We earned some money. I also decided that I would change my background, my title, and make my first slide show. I also changed my music box to the color pink. School was filled with good memories though. I loved having my sweet teacher Mrs. Sherratt. She was SO nice. AND SO funny. once she was trying to spell doughnuts. But she really spelled Dognuts. In front of the class! She was such a good teacher. On the last day of school, we had to go meet our new teacher's for next year. My new teachers' name is Mrs. Little. That will be easy to spell. She gave us each a true or false quiz. I got most of them wrong. I think she's about 5' tall. She let's us bring treat's into class. Also, in 5th grade, you have to choose between taking art's rotation OR Orchestra. I can't make up my mind. Well, the point is, SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!!!

I LOVE the word candy. When it's the end of the school year, I'm just in my classroom sitting at my desk. The only thing I do is stare at the clock. You have to wait until 12:30 to eat lunch. I'd have to say, I bet all of you have a craving. Mine is Dark chocolate.
Not a lot of people like dark. So I'm glad I'm one of them. I came home one day and I looked in the cobered above the oven. That's where I keep my dark chocolate that I bought with my own money. It was eaten until it had 2 pieces left. I got mad. I looked at my mom. She told me my dad did it. Uh, huh. I said.... Before I stop writing, I would like to congratulate my aunt Jen on her new baby Trenton. Bye!

School's out for summer!!! (well, almost.)

I'm so surprised of how the school year has gone by so fast! It's kind-of hard to believe! For all the kids, that is one of the best things that could happen. Spencer and me made a promise that on the last day of school, we will come home and go straight to our Guitar Hero and play the song, "School's out!" On our name tags at school, we found out that on laminated things, you can erase permanent marker of with an eraser. So, we got to put with colored markers, the count down of the days of school. There are 6 days of school left! (not counting the weekends.) On Thursday and Friday I have to do a recital. Finally, the day after school gets out, At least for a week, I get to stay at my grandma and grandpa's house. I'm pretty excited!

Monday!!!

I HATE having Mondays! Don't you??? You have to wake up early, ( Well, at least I do!!!) Get dressed, and then go to school. It's not as easy as it sounds. Well there's one thing I don't have to do this Monday, that's GO ON AN ALL DAY FIELD TRIP!!! Tuesday is the worst this week. Because usually, I have to get to school by 8:55. This Tuesday, I have to get there by 8:00. It's going to get pretty hard to handle. But at least my friend Kaleigh has to go through it to. She's one of the GREATEST friends I have ever had. GOOD LUCK FOR ME!!!!

My little sis, Alyssa, is crazier than ever!!! I love her though. She has a cute smile and everything. I'd have to say, she's my best friend. She always wants to look up to me. Sometimes, she's so crazy, she makes me crazy. She's our fun lover of the family. Even though she's weired, We still love her. She's great. WE LOVE ALYSSA!!!!

Sports

Spencer has been very involved in sports! He is a total Jazz Fan. He like's sports so much, when were doing something importent,
He comes in and say's what's going on in the game. You can barley understand him because he talks so fast! He tried baseball but, unfortunately, he quit in the middle... When ever the pitch came in, he would get scared of the ball. He has some Jazz shirts to. Our uncle Matt has got him to like the Suns. So, he only likes the Suns when they don't be against the Jazz. He has a Suns shirt to. Now, at the end of the year, I'm going to play girl basketball. We love our Spence!!!!!

Welcome to my NEW blog!!! I'm so excited. I got done watching General Conference about 20 minutes ago. I have been thinking about blogging, even though I'm 9. My mom finally let me, Since she knows how. My aunt Jen taught her first of all. It's good to share experiences. I'm going to enjoy having a blog. I hope that I get some comments.
